Time set apart from the week to come together
as a unified body of individuals with praise and
thanksgiving to the Lord Jesus Christ. Pastor Josh is currently
preaching through the Minor Prophets. Every week is an opportunity
to draw closer to God and learn about His abundant grace and mercy.
- Children's Church during the sermon of the Corporate
Worship Service. Cathy Edmonson invites kids of any ages
(material is aimed for children ages 4 - 10) who would like to join
her in the church kitchen for a bible lesson. They will be
dismissed from the regular service as specified on the bulletin.
For smaller children, child care can be arranged so please let us know
your needs.

The Church of New Hope honors every age and station in
life and promotes respect between them. We believe that since we
are the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12.27ff) each generation
must be present and active in the local congregation in order that
each generation may benefit from the other in its own particular
ways. Being that Family of God (1 Peter 4.17) we desire to
maintain a family friendly atmosphere in whatever we do while
encouraging meaningful interaction among all ages and find strength in
this interdependence.
Worship/Music (Romans 12.1-2, Psalm
150)
-
We desire to keep growing in our ability to praise the
Lord. We encourage the development of spiritual gifts, various
musical formats, and related resources that will glorify God and
nurture those who attend our worship activities and who come into
contact with our worshipful motivated lives. We also urge
application of musical abilities in non-worship settings, service
outside the congregation, and outreach efforts.
-
Most core values are best expressed through personal
relationships. Thus we encourage everyone to be engaged in
friendship building and small group dynamics. We desire adequate
group settings for both genders and all ages with related leadership
development to assure long-term viability.
We recognize Biblical revelation as vital in all that
we do in serving God's Kingdom; therefore, we desire to promote the importance
of individual and corporate Bible knowledge and application (This is especially
critical in this time of pervasive Bible illiteracy within our nation) through
the means of intentional, purposeful, and personal small group settings.
Outreach (Matthew 28.19-21; Romans 10.14-15; 1 Corinthians 9.19-23)
-
We desire a more dynamic and effective strategy for reaching
beyond our fellowship circle to connect with non-believing and un-churched persons through meaningful service and vibrant
relationships. This applies to not only the nearby Orchards
neighborhood, but throughout the Lewis-Clark Valley. We trust
that related Kingdom growth will be exhibited primarily in real
conversions that lead to baptisms and Kingdom service.
- We identify outreach through three major mediums:
-
-
- Recreation - We desire to maximize the opportunities of our
congregational family to find common recreational interests,
especially outdoor endeavors, and increase our relationship
potential. It is also recognized that these activities
could absorb non-believing and un-churched persons into our
flock for a time being as fun is had by all.
- Service - In an effort to demonstrate the compassion and
caring service of Jesus for everyone we begin with a loyalty
to the needs of our immediate neighborhood. From here we
seek to expand our circle of influence in a way that honors
Him and His Kingdom throughout the Lewis-Clark Valley and
beyond.
- Evangelism - The most explicit form of any outreach effort
is the direct communication of one's personal faith to an
unbeliever: to proclaim Christ and Him crucified (1
Corinthians 1.23), and to testify concerning the miracle of
resurrection and eternal life (Romans 10.9-10).
